Frequently Asked Questions
Where are Presious products made?
Presious is a 100% Australian owned company. Presious products are proudly made in Altona, Victoria, Australia.
Does Presious have a shop?
Yes, you can purchase Presious products in the reception at our factory: 47 Burns Road, Altona VIC 3018.
Have Presious products been scientifically tested?
Yes. Presious Super Gentle Laundry Powder has been independently tested by D-Labs. It triumphed against all others.
Why are Presious products more expensive than supermarket brands?
Presious uses genuine superior-quality organic and vegan ingredients rather than cheaper conventional chemical-based additives. The products are produced by a hand-picked dedicated team in a small family-based manufacturing plant.
Why use plastic packaging?
We all know plastic is terrible and is one of the main contributors to the world’s pollution problem. When selecting a packaging option for our products we selected containers made from PET plastic that are 100% recyclable and BPA free.
Why BPA free?
Exposure to BPA is a concern because of possible health effects. You can be rest assured that our PET plastic does not contain any BPA in its composition.
Did we consider using glass?
Yes, that option was certainly evaluated. But rotating thousands of glass jars through a production facility was not commercially viable and may not be any more environmentally friendly than providing a 100% recyclable PET option.
What makes Presious laundry products special?
Presious organic and vegan (and awesome!) superior laundry products offer health conscious users a hypoallergenic and chemical-free option. Our innovative green chemistry formula works like no other and is a better option for you and your family.
Why are Presious products different from the others?
Everyday laundry can have harmful effect on the health of your family. Standard laundry detergents contain insoluble chemicals (fillers), fragrances and brighteners that irritate skin.
The substances contained within your laundry products aren’t that bad if you are just exposed to them once — but when you use them in your laundry, you have constant exposure. These insoluble chemicals linger in your clothing and cling to your bed linen, meaning that your skin and lungs are constantly exposed. While you can’t stay away from these types of substances when you are out and about, what you choose to bring in to your home is completely under your control.
Often a substance that is perfectly harmless on its own can become extremely dangerous when combined with other chemicals. In no particular order these are the worst ingredients you are very likely to find in other laundry powders:
PHENOLS — easily absorbed into the skin (can create lung, kidney and liver damage)
SURFACTANTS — carcinogen
ETHYL ACETATE — reproductive toxicity
PETROLEUM DISTILLATES — DNA damage
QUATERNIUM 15 — skin rashes
CHLORINE (bleach) — irritation to the eyes, nose and throat
OPTICAL BRIGHTENERS (also listed as ER, KSN, OB, OB1) — sticks to the fabric even after rinsing and can cause strong allergic reactions
ENZYMES — (bacteria that eats stains) is linked to respiratory, digestive, migraine, cancer, dermal, mood, blood, metabolism, reproductive issues, as well as development delays and birth defects.
Laundry detergent allergies are on the rise and large corporations continue to poison us completely unchecked.
Commercial laundry products look good from far away, they are also far away from good! This toxic cocktail has to be taken into serious consideration. What is the real cost and the consequences? The decision is entire up to you. Protect yourself and your family, buy the safest laundry powder you can and the rest will take care of itself.
We all do laundry on such a frequent basis that these dangers posed by toxins should not be ignored.
Your baby and children snuggle on your clothes as well, right...?
Vanilla is a storehouse of essential oils, vitamins and minerals that play an important role in the maintenance of healthy skin. Vanilla contains over 200 compounds that possess antioxidant properties.
These antioxidant properties protect your skin from damage caused by environmental pollutants and toxins, and help protect the body against free radicals.
That’s why vanilla is one of the most expensive spices in the world. For centuries vanilla has been used for its medicinal qualities, and, to this day, this wonderful spice is used in cosmetics, pharmaceutical products and aromatherapy.
Vanilla contains antibacterial properties, is a source of sodium to maintain the right pH balance, helps prevent infections, is high in natural zinc, contains magnesium (for more oxygen bubbles in the wash!), and smells delicious too!
You’ll be amazed at how superior vanilla is!
